In this workshop we will look at our energy body and what energy channels (‘meridians’) are; how Yin Yoga affects our energy body and our organs; and how we can enhance the flow of Chi and our wellbeing with this practice, as well as with the use of essential oils.
Yin Yoga strongly affects the flow of Chi (Life Force) in your body as a whole, and in your organs specifically, thus enhancing your health and well-being. Yin Yoga poses can also affect specific emotions, allowing you to regain balance in the way you feel and interact with the world around you. When you gain more understanding of the energetic effects of this practice, you will be able to gear it towards the needs and abilities of your being in order to get the most benefit.
Essential Oils have been used for their healing properties since the old times. They have potent attributes on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. The different chemical components of the flowers, plants and trees that have been distilled into oils have a powerful effect on our brain. Scents can help us remember events from the past, and may assist in clearing negative thought forms. Using essential oils in our yoga practice, and while stimulating acupressure points, can enhance the effects thereof, and deepen our experience significantly. It is not necessary to have essential oils at home to take this workshop.
