I’m obsessed with this breakfast smoothie! It looks like a decadent dessert, but it’s actually a very nutritious and healthy start of the day.
This is how you make it:
Combine 3 tbsp rolled oats, 1 tbsp raw cashews, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 3 dates. Add water so all ingredients are just covered. Soak overnight.
In morning add fresh berries. (When I use frozen I add them to the mix the night before, because I don’t like a cold breakfast.) Blend in blender until smooth. Pour in tall glass. Sprinkle some home made granola (see my previous blog) on top and add a dollop of plant-based (or Greek) yoghurt.
- add a tsp of raw cacao powder
- add half a banana
- use (frozen) cherries, or half an apple, instead of berries.
